Matriark Foods is now officially Upcycled Certified. Why is this important? By creating a uniform system for determining which products meet the rigorous Upcycled Certification Standard, you can be certain that the impact we track is verified. Just one case (12 cartons) diverts 10 lbs of vegetables from landfills which averts 26 lbs of GHGS, and saves 1,224 gallons of water from being wasted. Foods is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the US.
WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
